A Representation of Singapore’s Thriving Ecosystem

As the world’s leading maritime city, according to the 2024 Leading Maritime Cities (LMC) report by DNV, Singapore has long been a pivotal port of call, known for its strategic location and world-class facilities. Today, it stands at the forefront of maritime innovation. The newly released ecosystem map organises the thriving local landscape into pivotal sectors such as Smart Ship, Smart Port, GreenTech & Decarbonisation, and Smart Supply Chains, showcasing the diversity and dynamism of our maritime industry. These categories represent the multifaceted approaches that startups in the industry are taking to revolutionise maritime operations. From nascent startups to ventures catalysing change, each venture is pivotal to our shared vision of transforming the maritime landscape.

Among the startups, you will find companies like Vasco and Cyberowl harnessing AI and data analytics to optimise fleet management and ensure vessel security. Companies such as Bigyellowfish and Greywing prioritising technology for the management, safety and training of Crew. Companies like ENT-Vision and Shipskart, reimagining the procurement process and asset tracking with cutting-edge technology, reducing waste and increasing efficiency. With tightened regulatory requirements, the drive for sustainability is championed by the likes of Pyxis and SungreenH2, developing solutions for reduced emissions through their focus on verticals including electrification and alternative fuels, integral to the decarbonisation of the industry.
