Venture Partner

Fabian Fussek

aka

Fabian joined Motion Ventures as a Venture Partner in October 2026. He supports the team on sourcing and assessing maritime and supply chain technology, and works with portfolio founders on the questions that come after the term sheet - hiring, selling to shipowners, and building towards an exit. Motion Ventures backed his own company, Kaiko Systems, so he knows the fund well from the founder’s side of the table. Fabian is the Co-Founder and CEO of Kaiko Systems, an AI-powered, mobile-first platform that helps frontline crews and technical managers keep their vessels compliant, inspected and ready. He started Kaiko in 2020, raised $10M across Pre-Seed, Seed and Series A, and grew it to dozens of enterprise shipping customers, including half of the top 10 global ship managers. In 2026, Kaiko was acquired by UniSea, backed by Adelis Equity Partners, where Fabian continues to lead the business as CEO. Before Kaiko, Fabian was a Venture Architect at Deloitte Digital, where he first identified the opportunity for AI in maritime operations. Earlier, he was the first employee and Head of Product at Zenhomes (Vermietet.de), later acquired by Scout24. Fabian studied Sociology, Politics & Economics at Zeppelin University, with stints at NCCU in Taipei and Tsinghua University in Beijing. He continues to serve in the reserve of the Austrian Armed Forces. (Motion Ventures is a Venture Capital Fund Manager regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Fabian Fussek serves in an independent advisory capacity.)
